Don Quixote
by Miguel de Cervantes Published in 605 (Volume 1) and 615 (Volume 2) 1023 Pages Thibault’s Score: 2/5 Like many people, I had heard of the tales of Don Quixote, a fictional account of an insane man who pretends to be a knight and gets into trouble. I found the writing style to be odd, and didn’t enjoy reading Don Quixote, so I had to put the book down after the first 6 chapters. The plot itself is boring, and doesn’t work very well for modern audiences. I suspect that, to the extent that a person like Don Quixote might have existed, he likely suffered from some form of Aspergers syndrome. The way Don Quixote LARPs reminds me somewhat of the behavior I have seen in adults with autism.
